Mary Wiltenburg is a reporter and teacher whose print, podcast, and multimedia work favors narrative profiles of people and communities. This American Life, The Christian Science Monitor, Der Spiegel, Reveal, and other outlets have featured her reporting and editing. Her work has been honored by the Education Writers’ Association, the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma. Since 2017, she has taught journalism and podcasting to Baltimore high school and college students; these days she’s at Friends School of Baltimore and Towson University.
